FiSH - 10-13, MAY 2012
FiSH - Festival im StadtHafen Rostock (Festival in the city harbor Rostock) - is an annual spring event for the young German film scene, starting from 2004. Federal competition JUNGER FILM is in the focus of attention and consists of the best non-commercial short films of the year with the publicly changing jury. SehSterne with its films, reports and documentaries from and about Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), sparkles nearby.
Our FiSH special - an international guest country window - is a forum for ambitious young directors from one of our Baltic neighbors, changing from year to year. In addition, the Medienanstalt M-V and the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture give the Medienkompetenz-Preis M-V for the best media-educational project of the land.
FiSH attracted more than 4.000 movie fans to the city harbor of Rostock. The festival is under patronage of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Prime Minister.

"Sechster Sinn, Drittes Auge, Zweites Gesicht" ist JUNGER FILM des Jahres beim FiSH 2012

Der Preis für den „Film des Jahres“ beim FiSH-Festival 2012 geht an Jan Riesenbeck und seinen Kurzfilm „Sechster Sinn, Drittes Auge, Zweites Gesicht“. Damit holt der 26-Jährige den Nachwuchspreis nach 2008 schon zum zweiten Mal. Während die fünfköpfige Jury sich nach langer Diskussion für Riesenbecks Collage entschied, kürte das Publikum die zweitplatzierte „Five Minute Love Story“ zum Sieger.
