 | OFF Lietuva Since 2005 there has been an international film programme contribution, annually taking a look at one of the countries around the Baltic Sea. In 2009 the Young Film scene from Norway titled OFF Norge was invited to the festival (in 2008 it was the young Film scene from Estonia titled Off Eesti, in 2007 it was the young generation of Danmark titled Off Danmark; 2006 the Young Film scene from Finland titled Off Suomi ; in 2005 it was the Polish young film titled Off Polska); the affiliated country of Lithuania is in preparation for 2010 (OFF Lietuva).
The 100 minute short film program OFF Lietuva within FiSH X is supposed to be build up in cooperation with the most important Lithuanian procreation institutions and festivals – simply the best of current Lithuanian young film. Young Lithuanian film-makers will arrive and they will not only be ready for conversations with the German young film scene, but also presented by their films to the festival audience on stage at FiSH in the M.A.U. club by the city port in Rostock.
Now we’re looking for contributed films from Lithuania. The Lithuanian film and video procreation can forward their new productions like documentaries, experimental clips, and animations. Original productions by young people from media factories and school projects are desired as well as university films and advanced independent productions. The films should be turned in the following formats: DVD. Non-commercial films by young people until the age of 27 (up to the time of the development of the films) are accepted. The film must not exceed a play time of 30 minutes and has to be produced after January 1, 2008.
On Saturday the 17th in 2010 there’ll be a Lithuanian festival evening on the MS Stubnitz, a former fishing ship and an important spots for events, parties, and presentations of the free culture scene, also located at city harbour. Live music from a Lithuanian band and an open screen, where Lithuanian films and brought along works of all the guests could be presented, will give the visitors an additional guide to Lithuanian culture.
